Healthy Holiday Trail Mix
Whether you're traveling during the holidays, at home but on-the-go with the holiday hustle, or enjoying a night in, you might be looking for a packable, portable, or quick-to-prepare snacking option.
But before you settle for something you don't love to eat (seriously, why choose anything from peanut brittle to kale juice if you don't even like it?) or choose something that doesn't fit your wants for better health, consider this delicious option: Healthy Holiday Trail Mix.
This Healthy Holiday Trail Mix is full of fiber-rich carbohydrates, plant-based protein, and fulfilling fats, which means that when you enjoy it, you'll feel fuller for longer. Yep, that means that whether you're on a cross-country plane ride or you're at the mall shopping, you can stash this mix in a reusable container to provide satisfaction until you get the next opportunity to nosh.
And, in true holiday spirit, this recipe delivers red and green (and some white coconut "snow") -- all from whole food ingredients, of course! You get plenty of sweetness thanks to freeze dried strawberries and cranberries, plus a hint of rich chocolate and the savory flavor of pistachios.
Making this Healthy Holiday Trail Mix might just be the easiest thing you do all season - no chopping, baking, wrapping, singing, crafting, or decorating required. Yep, I like that stuff, too, but for this, all you must do is MIX. And anyone can do that. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
